Honolulu, HI (Nov. 21, 2023) – UHA Health Insurance has promoted Michael Story to community development & engagement specialist.

In this position, Mr. Story oversees the development and management of all partnerships and community engagement for UHA through philanthropic programs and promotional initiatives and events.

Mr. Story joined UHA in 2019 and served most recently as a workplace wellness consultant, working with UHA member groups to develop and customize sustainable plans that help their employees improve their wellness through healthier diet, fitness and work-life balance.

Prior to joining UHA, he was a program supervisor at Honeywell/Hawai‘i Energy and brand and sport manager at Hawai‘i Tourism Authority. He also previously owned and operated an event-consulting and management company.

The Mililani resident earned a Master of Business Administration from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in sports management from Washington State University.

UHA invests in the development of employees at all levels, promoting from within – as with Mr. Story – whenever possible to help them expand their talents. In addition, it continually seeks new talent for functional areas throughout the organization in an array of entry-level through management positions.
