Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Mandatory for Online Member Services Starting the Week of Oct. 19

in Important Notices by UHA Health Insurance

At UHA Health Insurance, protecting your account data is a top priority. To ensure the highest level of account security and align with industry best practices, we are introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all UHA Online Member Services accounts starting the week of October 19, 2026.

Why We’re Making This Update

  • Enhanced Protection: MFA helps safeguard your account against unauthorized access and credential misuse.
  • Industry Best Practice: Cyberthreats in healthcare continue to grow; MFA provides a proven, proactive layer of defense.

Action Required Before Monday, October 19

Because MFA passcodes are sent for each member who has their own Online Member Services account, passcodes will be sent via email.

Please note: If you use the same email address for more than one Online Member Services account, you may receive multiple passcodes. You can keep using one email address. To learn how to manage multiple passcodes, read our FAQ. If you need more help, contact UHA Customer Services.

  1. Verify Your Registered Email: Log into your UHA Online Member Services account and confirm your email address when prompted.
    • Is my email correct? Yes = Done. Skip to step 3.
    • Is my email correct? No = Submit form, see steps below.
  2. Update or Register (If needed):
    • If your email is incorrect, click on the ‘Update my email’ link when prompted.
    • If a family member needs a separate account, submit the Online Member Services registration form.
  3. Whitelist Our Email: Add [email protected] to your email safe senders list so authentication emails aren’t flagged as spam. View our FAQ for instructions.

What to Expect Starting the Week of October 19

Once MFA is in effect the week of October 19, you will follow a simple 2-step sign-in process:

  1. Enter Credentials: Input your registered username and password.
  2. Retrieve & Enter Passcode: A 6-digit one-time passcode will be emailed to your registered address. Simply enter this code on the portal screen within 15 minutes to complete sign-in.
