UHA Health Insurance Marks 30 Years of Service with Purchase of Artesian Plaza for New Headquarters
Honolulu, HI (July 22, 2026) – Earlier this month, UHA Health Insurance closed on the fee-simple purchase of Artesian Plaza, located at 1907 South Beretania Street.
With this $14 million investment, UHA reaffirms its enduring commitment to the people of Hawai‘i and expresses its long-term confidence in the organization’s future. This is UHA’s first purchase of real property in its 30 years of history, allowing it the opportunity to design a workplace that better supports collaboration, learning, innovation and connection across departments.
“Our purchase of a permanent headquarters building is more than a real estate transaction,” said Howard Lee, president and CEO of UHA Health Insurance. “It is a clear signal of our long-term commitment to the communities we serve and affirms that we are here for the long run.”
The five-story Artesian Plaza is centrally located with street frontage and visibility on the corner of South Beretania and Artesian Streets in McCully. The 28,406-square-foot office and medical building was built in 1992 by the engineering and planning firm Wilson Okamoto Corporation.
By early 2028, UHA plans to establish its headquarters in a portion of Artesian Plaza, which is conveniently located for employees and members, easily accessible via public transit and features an integrated parking structure.
Kapi‘olani Women’s Center has been a fixture of Artesian Plaza for some three decades and will remain a tenant, underscoring UHA’s commitment to the local healthcare community and aligning with the values that have served as its guide since its inception.
UHA’s current headquarters is located in the Topa Financial Center in Downtown Honolulu.
