UHA HIRES PROVIDER SERVICES MANAGER

(HONOLULU, June 08, 2009)—UHA, Hawaii’s third-largest commercial health insurer, has hired Pua Chan as their Provider Services Manager.

In her new position, Ms. Chan will be responsible for maintaining collaborative relationships with providers and the organizations that represent them, maintaining the integrity of the provider contracts, providing education and/or training for providers, and will be responsible for assuring fair and effective resolutions to all provider contract disputes. 

Chan joined UHA in May 2009 and had previously worked at Mountain-Pacific Quality Health as the Beneficiary Protection Director and Hospital Payment Monitoring Program Director for 10 years.  She received her nursing education from Kapiolani Community College and has 20 years experience in Utilization Management. She is married with two children.
