UHA PROMOTES KARLYN MIYASHIRO TO BILLING AND COLLECTION SUPERVISOR
(HONOLULU, February 18, 2009)—Hawaii health insurer, UHA, has promoted Karlyn Miyashiro to Billing and Collection Supervisor.
Miyashiro oversees the premium billing process, resolves customer issues related to payment and premium statements, monitors account receivables, and conducts group audits.
Previously a Collections and Billing Specialist, Miyashiro joined UHA in March 1997. She has an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Kapiolani Community College. A founding member of Island Women Empowered By God, she is currently a board member and Chief Operation Officer for the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. She is married with one daughter, three step-daughters, and one grandson.
Founded in 1996 by a group of physician teachers at the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, UHA provides medical, drug, and vision plans to Hawaii employer groups.
