UHA APPOINTS MICHAEL WALSH AND NOLAN NAMBA TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
(Honolulu, December 16, 2008) --- UHA President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Max Botticelli, today announced the appointments of Michael Walsh and Nolan Namba to UHA's Board of Directors.
"We're pleased that Mr. Walsh and Mr. Namba will bring their talents and experience to lead our Investment/Finance and Public Relations/Marketing Committees respectively," Dr. Botticelli said.
Michael Walsh has over 20 years of investment and finance experience and is currently the Vice President of Finance for Queen Liliuokalani Trust. He has held various board positions with the Waikiki Improvement Association, Palolo Chinese Home, Waikiki Business Improvement District, Hawaii Community Services Council, and the State Consumer Advisory Council. Walsh is a graduate of Punahou School and the University of Hawaii, with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.
Nolan Namba has over 21 years of marketing and public relations experience, with 16 years in the health care industry as Health Plan Manager/Director of Marketing for the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Manager of Product Development for the Hawaii Medical Service Association. He is currently the Vice Principal of Hawaii Baptist Academy, overseeing student services and disciplinary policies, and is a member of the Hawaii Baptist Foundation Board of Directors. A graduate of Iolani School and Stanford University, Namba holds a Masters of Hospital Administration degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
